4 Months Old!

It is hard for us to believe that Evan is 4 months old today. I'll post new 4 month stats after our visit to the doctor next Thursday for 5 more shots...I'm sure that will be fun! Based on our measurements, Evan is approximately 13.5 lbs and 24.5 inches long.

Here are the top 5 things Brian and I have learned in the past 4 months:

5. Having a baby that sleeps for 12 hours a night (in a row) at 4 months old is truly a gift from God for two working parents.
4. Always have a "safety". Any parent of a baby boy understands what this means!
3. We should have bought stock in Shout, Spray & Wash, Dreft, etc.
2. Having a baby/child makes you appreciate your parents and what they did for you (and are still doing!) even more.
1. We love our little man more than we ever thought possible. God has truly blessed us!

Daddy always has the job of cutting Evan's nails. Mommy shakes too much and is nervous she's going to cut his fingers. Daddy does such a good job.

I love Evan's face in this one...ahhh!

So Much Fun after Ms. Irene's!

So Mom, do you think I can fit this in my mouth?

Evan loves this block because it "crunches and crinkles" when he grabs it!

The Happiest Place

The happiest place for Evan is on his changing table. He has loved it since he was about a month old. He will talk and talk and talk and smile lots. Here are some pictures I took last weekend of him smiling at his daddy!

Going, Going, Gone!

Yesterday I picked up Evan a little early from Ms. Irene's. I turned on a Baby Einstein video and we did some tummy time. You can see the end result! Didn't look too comfortable to me, but he slept like that for at least 30 minutes!

Pictures of our Cutie!

Still likes those hands...teething maybe???

Still not quite tall enough to touch the bottom.

Evan kicked off his socks after a day of daycare!

Happy Late St. Patty's Day!

Happy St. Patrick's Day from our little Lucky Charm! We estimate that Evan is 25% Irish.

First Trip to the Zoo!

Today we took Evan to the zoo (yes, there is actually a little zoo here in Victoria!) for the first time. He really had no clue where he was but he did look at some of the animals. I'm sure we'll be back many more times this summer.

Looking at the chickens!

In front of the monkeys (these were too far away for him to see)
Checking out the otter...he watched it swim in the water

Even though we were only there for 30 minutes, our little dude was tired!

Horray for Saturday!

To start off his Saturday, Evan tried out his Baby Einstein Exersaucer while Skyping with both sets of grandparents...he's still a little too short. He can't touch the bottom!
This is one of Mommy's favorite Evan faces. Chubby cheeks!
Hanging with Daddy!

Evan's Week in Review

Playing with Mommy on Sunday night...aren't we cute in our matching outfits?

Evan had a great second week at Ms. Irene's! He's still not really napping, but he's sleeping 11-12 hours at night, so we won't complain!

Because he doesn't nap, his eyes are really red by the end of most days. This is one happy dude though. He isn't really fussy even when he's soooo tired.

One day he fell asleep on the drive home. Keep in mind it is about 3 minutes!

Sooo cute! :)

Newborn Body Parts Collage

When Evan was just 3 weeks old, he had his first professional pictures taken. Kevin Jordan is a great photographer here in Victoria (if anyone just ever happens to be in Victoria needing a photographer)! He's very patient with kiddos. We went back to him at the end of March for Evan's 3 month pictures...we get to see them in a couple of weeks.

Here is a picture his body parts collage (we finally picked it up this week). It is amazing how much he's changed since then!

Evan's First Real Saturday!

Up until this week, every day to Evan has seemed like a Saturday. Well, after a long stressful week of nothing but changes, we got to enjoy his first real Saturday. We cherished every minute of it!

Smiling big before a trip to Target (by the way, Evan has been to Target more than any other place...wonder why?!?)

Listening to I-Tunes with Mom and Dad before bath.

Sucking his fingers...

Do you think he can fit them both in at the same time?

First Week of "School"

Well, we survived. I went back to work on Monday and Evan started "school" at Ms. Irene's. It was a sad week for Mommy...even Daddy said he was sad to have to drop him off with someone else. He had a rough first two days at day care, but things got better for the last part of the week. He is all smiles when Brian drops him off in the morning and just as happy when I pick him up in the afternoons. Brian is officially Super Dad...in charge of Evan from wake up until drop off. They are getting things down to a science. I'm heading out of the house for work at 5:30 am so I can go get the little dude at 3:30 pm or so.

We failed to capture the first day...sad...I think that was the first day of his entire life that we haven't taken his picture :(

Here is the aftermath of the second day...he's only napping 30 minutes or so at Ms. Irene's...so by about 5:30, he's ready for bed!

Day 3 went much better...

On Day 4, he wasn't in the same outfit that Daddy took him in when Mommy picked him up...he he! Mom is still working on getting the stain out.

And on Day 5, Mommy picked him up at 1 pm. He was glad for the chance to play with his toys and get a few more zzz's than he's getting with all the kiddos around.

And he's enjoying tummy time...for the most part...finally! Just turn on a Baby Einstein DVD!

So, we all survived the first week and are developing a routine. We're all exhausted by the end of the day. Espeically Mommy since she had to do performance reviews for her technicians this week at work! What a way to get back into the swing of things!

3 Months!

Evan turned 3 months old a week ago...we can't believe how much he has grown over the last 3 months. Here are some pictures from his birthday. We also took professional pictures...coming soon!

These three pictures make Brian and I laugh...they were taken within seconds. The expression in the 3rd one is priceless!

Just being cute!
