Livestock Show

I went to my first livestock show/carnival this weekend with Mommy, Daddy, Grandma Candi and Grandpa Max.  Mommy said she called them fairs growing up in Missouri but since we're in Texas now, we have to call them Stock Shows.  It smelled a little funny but there were a lot of people, the rides were fun to watch and I LOVED all the animals.

Here I am watching the carnival rides.

Here are the bunnies and then my reaction to them...priceless.

There was a little petting zoo there that the FFA kiddos were running.  I actually touched this sweet little lamb.

And I was very proud of myself for touching the little chick too!

Grandpa Max and Grandma Candi Visit

My Grandpa Max and Grandma Candi came to visit this weekend.  I got to show them all my new tricks and all of my toys and books.  We had a great time.  They took care of me during two much needed date nights for Mommy & Daddy.  I love when they come visit!

Oh yeah, I can say "eyes" really clear and I'll poke your eyes out.  I also discovered that my fingers fit perfectly in my nose.  Espeically when they are coated with sticky prunes from breakfast.

I took Grandma on a walk.  OK I'll admit, I was really trying to run away from home.

But eventually Grandma decided to bring me back!

Poor Baby Evan!

Poor little Evan had a stomach virus on Monday and Tuesday this week.  He spiked a pretty high fever but tested negative for the flu and RSV.  Daddy knew something wasn't right on Monday when Evan stayed still like this on the couch.  Poor baby!

He started to feel a bit better with Mommy on Tuesday.  Still pretty clingy and we watched a lot of movies!

Finally on Wednesday he was back to his super active self.  Here he is playing peek-a-boo with Daddy inside the box.

And he finally started eating in massive Evan quantities again on Thursday.

(His latest obsession is looking at the ceiling...don't ask...who knows!)

Brushing those pearly whites...to make a fish face?!?!

Fun with Da!

I've decided to call my daddy "DA"!  Really loud!  We have so much fun together!  Here we are playing chase around my chair.

Eating Oreos after dinner!

I've seen my Mom and Dad do this but I can't seem to dunk it in my cup!

Playing with the pillows!  Horray for the simple things in life...

Words

Over the past two weeks, Evan's number of words has expanded tremendously.  It is soooo much fun.  Now not everyone can understand him, but Brian and I are starting to.  So here are the things he's saying or trying to say:

The very clear ones:
Hi
Hey
Heeeeeeeeeeyyyyyy (think Jersey Shore!)

One's that aren't so clear but we're starting to get what he's trying to say:
I'm done (basically a two syllable yell!)
Duck (pretty clear)
Again (sounds more like gin)
Hot dog (if you watched Mickey Mouse Clubhouse like he does every morning at daycare, you'd understand why!)

Oh yeah and then his other trick...if you ask him what a lion says, he ROARS really loud.  So funny!  Gotta love the little dude!

A Typical Week at the Hrachs

Eating some dinner with  Mommy after Ms. Irene's.  I'll let you guess what I had for dessert!

Thank goodness for the M&M Christmas guy.  He gets me through quite a few meals!

Daddy decided to be funny one night and put my shades on in the bathroom!  I'm a cool dude!

I stand on my tip toes and throw my bath toys in the tub while the water is running.

My fingers were getting cold so Daddy got out my size 2 gloves one day.  They were a bit too big and I loved to chew on them.

When I'm hard at work, I like to stick out my toungue.

Super Bowl Sunday

My favorite team, the Pittsburgh Steelers, played in the Super Bowl last weekend.  I was disappointed that they lost but still had a good time watching the first two quarters of the game with Mommy & Daddy.

Here I am earlier on Super Bowl Sunday playing peek-a-boo with Daddy around my chair (which by the way I LOVE and I can officially get in and out of it on my own!).

Then I got smart and stood up on the chair so I could see Daddy even if he was behind!

For dinner, I made the biggest mess to date...aren't you impressed?

My latest thing is trying to say "I'm done".  But how it usually comes out is a panicked yell.  Here I am telling Mommy that "I'm done!".

Polamalu played some b-ball to warm up before the game.

I'm so upset that the Steelers are losing...big time!

Sharing some chips and cheese dip with Daddy.  OK, I  had one chip and no dip but it was sure enjoyable!

Fun Week!

I had such a fun week!  Mommy got to stay home on Thursday and Friday because the weather was bad.  She told me that it really wasn't that bad outside but it was fun to have Evan days!

Here's my mommy and me reading books before bed one night.

Self Portrait - I'm not sure what those are yet, but this was sure fun!

Watching the game with Dad.  I had a bad diaper rash this week (my first ever - Mom and Dad feel pretty lucky), so I ran around at night with just my shirt on.  This night, Mom and Dad decided to put a diaper on me after being without one for a while.  Good thing - if you couldn't tell from the picture, I left them a present!

Daddy found these in my closet.  Mommy said I look so stinking cute!

Mr. Snots!  Mommy and Daddy are wondering how much snot I've eaten so far in my lifetime.

Atlas!

Ahhh a break on Friday morning!
