Happy Halloween from our Little Pumpkin Evan. Thanks Grandma Candi for making the wonderful costume! Evan wore the costume at Ms Irene's on Friday and he'll get to wear it again tonight to greet our trick or treaters...at least until bed time.
Just one more funny shot. Evan is definitely not a fan of pumpkins and hay!"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." - Jeremiah 29:11

11 Months!
Evan turned 11 months this week. Unbelievable. He also hit a major milestone of crawling on his hands and knees. He's been rolling around to get where he wanted to be for a few months now, started to army crawl last week and is now officially crawling. He's a little bit of a late crawler, but from what I've read, late crawlers have unusually developed fine motor skills, which he definitely does have. So, the game has changed and even though he isn't a super crawler yet, Brian and I just know that our lives are about to get more interesting.
So what is Evan like at 11 months? Still absolutely the cutest and sweetest baby around. He loves his routine, loves going to day care at Ms. Irene's, loves books (he can actually lift the peek-a-boo flaps in books now, so those are definitely his favorites!), loves everything he eats (his favorite is still cheese for sure). He's gotten pretty good at the sippy cup, which should make the transition from the bottle much easier. He's not really a fan of the bottle anyway, so we're sure it should be pretty painless. He loves to play with his car ramp and loves to people watch. He has one tooth and we think another is just about to pop in (he's been fussy and running a low grade fever today). He's starting to realize when to clap socially and is actually really good at making noise when he claps his little hands together. He loves to dance and still loves The Carpenters (we've recently introduced The Rainbow Connection to the play list and that's his new favorite).
It is just so much fun to watch him every day. 11 months ago our lives changed forever...but in the best way possible!
Weight Lifting, Lemons and Crawling
Evan has had a busy week. He kicked it off by weight lifting while sucking his fingers. Amazing!
Evan loves lemon. He makes the funniest faces but still goes back for more...
He's officially crawling. He was a roller for a couple of months and then an army crawler for only one week. Watch out because here he comes! The only thing he's really found so far besides his toys and the remote is the computer box. I'm sure this calmness won't last long!

Weekend in San Antonio with Grandma and Grandpap
Grandma and Grandpap came to visit last weekend and they took us to a new Marriott resort in San Antonio. I loved it and had a blast in the awesome pools. I even floated the in the lazy river.
To kick it off, I had to take a nap. For some reason, I refused to nap in the car on the way there, so by the time we got there, I was super tired!
After my good nap, we went out to eat dinner. We didn't leave the resort all weekend. Here I am enjoying my dinner outside.Daddy helped me check out the HUGE pumpkin. It was super cool.
After a good night's sleep, I was ready to go again the next morning. Well, sort of...
I had some breakfast outside since it was such nice weather.
Then I kicked off my day of swimming. First, down the slide with Daddy.
Then I played and played in the water for the rest of the morning. This place had the most awesome kids pool.
After lunch, I took a quick nap to recharge and then it was back to the pool. This time to the big pool and lazy river before returning to the kids pool. I'm still waking up...
On Sunday morning, I got to enjoy the escalators. I rode up and down them with Mommy. It was a great weekend. Thanks Grandma and Grandpap!

Last Weekend...
Last Friday was an "Evan Friday" which means that Mommy had the day off from work and we got to play all day!
On Saturday morning, we got to go back to the zoo for the first time since May. It was cool enough again finally! Here I am looking at the baby lion cubs. They have grown a lot since May...but then again, so have I!
I was so glad that we could go back to the zoo!
Here is my new car ramp. It makes super cool noises. I love it.
Last weekend I found the PlayStation controller. Now no matter where I am, I try to get to the controller to play with it.
Last weekend I also upgraded to big boy car seats in Mom's and Dad's car. At first I didn't like it, but overall, I think I've adjusted rather well. Mommy thought that I'd look super small in the seat...she was wrong! I'm growing up so fast!

My New Favorite Company
Today Evan got a pair of Penn State shoes in the mail from the owner of pediped. Why you might ask is the owner of pediped sending Evan shoes? It just so happens that the owner of pediped is a Penn State grad and the only school's shoes they make are Penn State. He saw Evan's birth announcement in the Penn Stater (PSU alumni magazine) and sent a pair. Too awesome! So now pediped will forever have my business for their soft soled shoes! Here's a link so you can see how cute they are too!

By the way, Evan already has a pair of these exact shoes from his Great Aunt Ruth and Great Uncle Scott. He got them when he was born with a note saying that Evan's Great Grandpa Thomson would have gotten a kick out of them! Luckily the ones Evan got today are in the next bigger size!

10 Months Old
Evan's favorites at 10 months? The song "Sing" by the Carpenters. No matter what his mood, if you put that song on, he'll stop in his tracks to listen to it. His favorite books are "Brown Bear, Brown Bear" and "Barnyard Dance". He LOVES to read. I picked him up from Ms. Irene's last Thursday, which is book day, and she said that we've found Evan's favorite day! He also love his stacking toy which he will pull every one off again and again as long as you keep putting them back on. And his recent discovery is CHEESE! Evan will eat an entire piece of string cheese before dinner...must take after his Mommy! Brian and I are truly blessed to have such a sweet baby!
