Evan is becoming a pro at sitting up.  Every now and then he still will fall to the back or to the side, but he's getting better at it every day.  Nice hair, don't you think?

Sick Baby Evan

Brian and I consider ourselves extremely lucky that Evan didn't have his first illness that required antibiotics until he was 7 months old.  He definitely wasn't himself (and still isn't...we think it is a side effect of the antibiotic) but he was still such a sweet little baby.

The fingers are always around for comfort.  Thank goodness!  Evan won't even touch a pacifier any more.

Quick Update

On Thursday we got a call from daycare that Evan was running at 102 degree fever.  Brian went and got him in the middle of a torrential downpour and took him to the doctor.  By the time I got back in town, they were already on their way home from the doctor.  Dr A said that Evan has a throat infection and gave him some bubble gum medicine.  Evan stayed home with me on Friday and he's already doing much better.  Just a real slight fever this morning. 

Also on Thursday he started saying da-da.  We thought it might have been a fluke but he's been repeating it ever since.  It seriously melts our hearts!

World Cup and Bath Time!

"Dad...I'm so tired of watching the World Cup!  Can't we watch some Baby Einstein?"

For some reason, this baby that looks just like Evan takes a bath with Evan every night.  He even has the same Mommy and Daddy.  Strange, huh?  Really though we think that Evan is starting to understand that that is his reflection.  And, yes, we should not be using this tiny tub anymore but taking baths in the big tub is a lot of work right now.  We've done it on the weekends.

New Toy for a Big Boy!

We bought Evan this new workbench since he's sitting up very well now.  He loves to play with it and already has the lever on the drill figured out. 

DA's Office Kiddos

A couple of weeks ago, all the DA's office kiddos were invited to take a picture together for Steve's upcoming campaign.  Here is the picture.  Evan couldn't help but to play with Clayton's ears...and no...there wasn't one shot where Evan was looking at the camera!
