We are happy to report that for three nights now, Evan has made it through with only one feeding. We've started putting him to bed at 7 pm. We put on his PJ's and he takes a bottle from Daddy. Which by the way, the bottle is going well. Thank goodness because that will be his survival after March 1st! On Wednesday night he made it until 1:30 am, on Thursday night until 1 am, and last night until 2:30 am. This is quite a break through and we're praying that it lasts. 7 hours of straight sleep for Evan means Mom and Dad have a couple of hours together and then they get some good sleep. Typically he is waking up for the day between 6 and 7 am. Ahhh says Mom!
Also, I think we have the appearance of the morning nap. For about the past week and a half, after his mid morning feeding, he'll go down for 1.5-2.5 hours. The afternoon is still a struggle sometimes, but the sleep books say the morning nap appears first. We'll take the breakthroughs as they come.
Here are some more pictures of our little dude:
Sounds like things are going well. Yay for schedules/routines that can actually be somewhat predictable!
ReplyDeleteAs a future post content suggestion, what are your hair/eye color predictions for Evan? I can't decide from the pictures if he has blond hair or maybe a hint of red.
